Payment
Individual 1-1 tuition is charged per hour, details are below.
Payments are to be made by bank transfer a week prior to each ten-lesson block OR two days before any ‘one-off’ lesson.
Late tuition fees will result in tuition being refused and possible loss of place.
Tuition fees are reviewed on an annual basis and are subject to change; Parents/Carers will be notified of any changes in advance.
Prices
KS3- £25 per hour
GCSE- £30 per hour
A-Level- £35 per hour
The cost of any other services required will be offered at competitive rates
Lessons and requirements
Lessons run term time only unless agreed by It’s more fun to compute.
Any absences or cancellations made by the student within 24 hours of a lesson cannot be credited or refunded.
Lessons cancelled by It’s more fun to compute will be rearranged for an alternative date. Should re-arrangement be impossible, refunds will be given.
Should a student wish to terminate lessons part way through a block booking, refunds will not be given. Termination of lessons should be confirmed in writing or emailed to fun2computetutor@gmail.com
Students must endeavour to be punctual to lessons. Lessons will not run over should a student turn up late.
It’s more fun to compute will do everything possible to support students taking Computer Science GCSE or A-Level, however we cannot guarantee specific results. Tuition is provided extra to the student’s schooling and the onus is on the student to get the most out of this tuition and take responsibility for their own learning.
Data protection and privacy
We process your data in line with the General Data Protection Regulation and the Data Protection Act 2018.
The legal basis for processing data is in the form of the contract between “it's more fun to compute” and you the parent/student.
We only process basic identifier information – i.e. student and parental forename and surname; student and parental contact details.
If you would like to sign up to receive communications about other services we provide, please tick the relevant box in the application form.
We will ask for consent to the use of photos and videos of students on our promotional material. This will be done with the explicit consent of the student and their parents.
